Since last Christmas I said that I was done making fabric postcards for ever, that meant I needed to try something new for this year. This years cards are on paper and were printed on a gelatin plate. I love my gelli plates but decided to use a real gelatin plate for these. Here are a few of the finished cards, these are the leftovers that I wasn't quite as happy with.
This is the stencil I cut out of tyvek and used in a two color process that I had learned in an online class.
I've been working on the paper pieced project made out of vintage silk ties, I've also tossed in some sari silk and vintage kimono silk. Only 11 more blocks to go, then I'll sew them together and do the tedious removal of the paper pieces.
