Stitching projects

I've been having fun with all of my daily, weekly and monthly stitching projects. Sometimes I think it's become a bit obsessive, but since I'm enjoying it I'll just keep going. My daily stitching that goes from birthday to birthday is getting closer to being done and I think I'll start another one on my birthday, but that's 42 days away and things may change. I finished another 19 blocks today so I added another row. These are blocks #318 - #323
Here's how it looks so far. I'm loving it.
Next is the daily stitching I started on Jan 1. These are blocks #25 - #30
I've also started a monthly project that involves sewing notions. Here is January's and it's all snaps.
Last but not least is week 4 of my weekly stitching.

Progress

I'm making progress on the queen size commission quilt, I've now got the center all pieced. It's 60" x 75" and the next step is making 22 more blocks to go around it. I'll continue the design into the border. It has changed some from my original plan, but I knew it would.

Sketchbooks and journals

That is my pile of sketchbooks and journals, most of them have blank pristine pages, the others have less then five pages that have been used. The oldest one is from about 1980, was a gift from a friend and has never been used. The most used one is from 2001, it went with me to San Antonio to Jane Dunnewold's complex cloth class. The stamps I carved in that class were tested on it's pages. The pile above is not the entire collection - I have more out in Studio B. I've decided that maybe it's about time I did something about this and have signed up for Lynn Krawczyk's on line class The Written Sketchbook. Today we got our first prompts for writing and so far I've been real successful at ignoring it. I did get out my pile of books to decide which one to use, although I must admit my first thought was "I need a new sketchbook". Generally if I feel the need to write something down or to sketch something, I use one of the many little scraps of paper that are floating around the studio.
I've gotten more sewing done on the queen size quilt, I have a whole lot more to do. My weekly stitching project is starting to take shape. I dyed some old linens, clamped on plexiglass shapes and over dyed them. Some still need another dye bath, but I have enough to work with for several weeks. They are each 6" square, hand stitched, pillowcase finished, and eventually will all be stitched together. Below are the first three.

One done, another started

I finished the blue and orange piece, except for the label, I have no idea what to name it. I'm open to suggestions.
I've made a start on the queen size commission, here is my sketch I'm working from.
The start of the blue part. There will be a lot of tweaking to this as I go, I just needed to start and get something sewn together.
I have another row of 19 to sewn to my daily project, but since the design wall is busy, there's no full size picture. Here are #301 - #304.

A snow day

It was snowing when I got up this morning, I checked the weather report on the computer and it said to expect 1" of accumulation.
Does this look like 1" to you? It does seem like the snow is stopping now.
Daily stitching, above is #294 - #300, only 65 to go and it will be my birthday! Below is the first seven of my newest group.
