A couple of weeks ago I was given a couple of pieces of fabric to use in donation quilts and I now have one done and one waiting for me to quilt it.
This is the finished one, the very brightly patterned fabric in the stars is what I was given.
This one is ready to quilt, the grey background print is what I was given.
I used up every single bit of the two fabrics and it was a fun divergence.
This morning the Art Guild met to change art at the various locations we have around town. I hadn't gotten anything new done so it was time to go through old work. I found a pair of pieces that had been patterned with flour paste and paint, in a positive /negative circle design.
I added a few stitches on each, mounted them onto canvas and they are now hanging at Weiser Classic candies.

I love the simplicity of those gray and white squares with just a touch of red. I bet they looked very nice when mounted on the canvas.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norma, I've always liked them and the red really seemed to add to it.
DeleteThose grey are very beautiful, the stitches are really great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vera.
DeletePerfect stitch additions to the circles-they add a great pop of colour. All the leaves look great too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a creative challenge to be given fabric and have to make something out of it... you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was really fun to do.
