Kayla and Will with their new quilt and new kitten.
We had a very full house for the eclipse, everyone came a few days early and didn't leave until the day after. It was a lot of fun but exhausting, fourteen people is a lot.
This is most of the group at the very beginning of the show.
Here I am with my daughter and granddaughter, my son and his boys are in the background.
We had one member of the group with a tripod, good camera and lens filter, mostly I ran around taking pictures of some of the very cool shadows.
We had 2 minutes and 5 seconds of totality and it was awesome, I'm so glad we got to experience it.

I have to say I love what you are doing with your 'daily stitching' piece. Every time i see it I am amazed at how beautiful it has become. It would never have occurred to me to do that and I'm not sure
ReplyDeleteI would have the patience for all that stitching. I can't wait to see a full picture at the end of the year.
Glad you enjoyed your family time with the eclipse. It is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for most people. Your "daily stitching" is amazing. You do such beautiful work. Happy stitching! Andrea
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteHere in Northeast Indiana we only got about 86% of the eclipse. But it was awesome! Love your stitching. Very pretty. Have a great day!
Looks like a fun eclipse party! So fun to experience it as a group. We had about 75% here...I saw it out the window when I was at an appt with my dad. Wonderful stitching!
ReplyDeleteWe had a total eclipse in the uk a number of years ago and it is an amazing thing to witness. Fabulous stitching!
ReplyDeleteWe only had 70% coverage here, so it stayed pretty bright outside. Nonetheless it was fun to experience. It sounds like you had a great eclipse party.
