I did start a new daily stitching, number four in my series of 10 inch squares. This is how it looked before any stitching.
This is the back, with a 10 inch square of felt fused to it. I use felt to give it body so I don't have to use a hoop.
Here it is after the first 7 days.
2018 Weekly Leaf #22
I'm also making a small rug to go under the kitchen eating area table. The rug that is currently under the table is a rag rug and it's been there several years and is coming apart. I've shopped around a bit and haven't found anything that I really like that is the size I need. So I'm making a quilt to go under the table, my hubby thinks it's a strange idea but every rug we have is fiber of some sort. I'm also making it reversible .
So this is one side, a very simple design in browns.
This is the other side made with the leftovers. It's not completely pieced yet so the picture shows it laying on my cutting table.
I plan on doing very close horizontal lines of quilting. When it's done I'll get a picture of it in use.
I'll be linking up with "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching".
Love your hand stitching. Sure wish I had the patience for it. Love the leaf!

DeleteI have the same issue and I am annoyed that I must check my blog directly to see comments, I worry people think I'm ignoring them.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one. I still have no idea how to fix it.
DeleteI didn't realize that blogger is doing that. did they send you a notification? I probablly got it but didn't read it. I'm really surprised at google - they have never embraced blogger the way you would think. It's very hard to write posts on a tablet or phone and it's not the most user friendly thing, although now I'm used to it and it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks so I hope they keep it. Like you I guess I have to suck it up and deal.
ReplyDeleteanyway my question to you is how do you plan to keep the quilt rug from moving around. I have often wondered about doing that.
i just googled the issue and someone posted the following solution (whether it works or not I have no idea but worth a try)
ReplyDeleteHousekeeping post today.
So, Blogger is having a bit of a hiccup at the moment. For some reason, comment notifications are not being sent to my email. Since this is the easiest way to reply to comments, it is a problem.
After some research, I found out three things: 1) This is a widespread problem 2) After no response on the Blogger Product Forum all day, one of the experts finally replied that Blogger is working on it 3) In the meantime, there is a fix that is working for me. At the bottom of your post's comment section, check the box that says notify me. This basically subscribes you to all comments on that post and they will show up in your email inbox. You will need to do this on every new post.
Hope this helps! And share this too :-)
I just tested the fix and when I clicked on the subscribe to - I got a page full of code that I don't understand. - oh well, so much for that. hopefully google will fix it
DeleteThanks for doing some research, to bad the fix didn't work.
DeleteI'm putting the rug under a table, so I'm thinking the table will keep it in place. It keeps the rag rug that's there in place.
Thanks again!
Brave you! Putting that lovely quilt on the floor under the table. Let us know how it works out.
ReplyDeleteSo far it's looking good, I'll post pictures on my next post.
DeleteYour stitching projects are always interesting and inspiring to look at. I love following along each week. I hope blogger figures out the email thing soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteAnother Blogger poster here. If you hadn't raised the issue I wouldn't have realized it was Universal. Since it coincided with my restarting my post I was totally in the dark. Just figured I didn't get any comments. Then I realized I needed to check the post vs. my email. Now I'm wondering whether anyone even got my replies.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, your daily stitching continues to inspire me. I kept checking between photos to grasp what you had done. Love how you opted to add a triangle through stitching. Mesmerizing.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. Love your daily leaf work. Have a great day!
Linda, I love your leaves and I love your rug. I was told that if you leave the first comment on your own post and check the Notify Me box you will get all subsequent posts. I replied to someone else's comment and tried it and I did get the subsequent posts so that is working for me. Try it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll give it a try next post.
