Tulips

My kids sent me a large bouquet of tulips for my birthday to get me ready for our trip next month to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival in Washington State. My tulips here at home are about 6 - 8 inches tall already and will probably bloom while I'm gone. My daffodils are already blooming.

I found a new home for a few of my quilts that had been unearthed from the cupboard last week. These two that I made in the early 90's have found a good home.

Another friend took one that she plans on repurposing.

I also sewed some more scraps together, now I need to find something to fill in the spaces.

2018 Weekly leaf #12

This will be the last of the paper towel ones (at least for a while).

Next up will be some cyanotype (blue print) leaves. We had a few days of bright sun so I took advantage of it. It's been pretty grey and rainy since.

2018 Daily stitching days 75 - 81

I took a few process pictures of this section, hopefully to show how I use what's printed as a suggestion of what to stitch, but then let the stitching go off on its own.
There was a hexagon with lines that didn't connect .
The french knots made their own lines.
 Filled in with straight stitches.
Just about half done.

I'll be linking up with "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching"
