Miscellaneous

First before anything else, if you commented last week, Thank you. Blogger will not let me respond to comments and I'm also back to not receiving them in my email. Frustrating because I have no idea what to change or how to correct it. I also discovered that last week was my 600th post, you'd think by now I would have this figured out :).

I've been playing with scraps again, I have a little orange bucket that holds assorted blue, orange, brown and a few other colors of scraps and I'm piecing them into semi circles.
I have no idea where this idea is going, but it allows me to just sit and sew, one of my favorite things to do.

Now for something totally unrelated, I'm on the Board of Trustees for our local Library and this past weekend I went to a Trustees Workshop. The sharing of ideas and things that work for other small town libraries was very energizing. It also made me realize how much I miss that type of interaction. I haven't been to a fiber related retreat, conference or workshop in several years, I'm thinking it must be time to do that again.

2019Weekly Leaf, week #15
I have a coleus that has some wonderful fuchsia and green leaves, so this week I borrowed one of the leaves, gel printed it in green and did some fuchsia stitching.

2019 Daily Stitching #2, days 8-14

I love the texture that the crossed running stitch creates. Now it's time to make a decision on what to do in the center.

I'll be linking up with"Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching"

  1. About the posting. When this happened before, I read on a blog that to recontinue having the emails sent to you, go to settings and then Emails. Take your name out of the box and save settings. Then put your name back in and save settings! It worked when I tried it. I can't remember if it started right away, though.

You might want to try the posts, comments and sharing page and fiddle something on there.

What I am struggling with at the moment is actually getting posts published on some blogs when I comment from my phone. I am writing this from the computer.

  2. I changed the email address under settings to my work email, and then reset to my home email and that did the trick. It's bizarre how these weird computer things happen!
Love the stitching updates! Enjoy filling the circle!

  3. I love those stitched crosses. I agree. Resetting the e-mail address from one e-mail to another did the trick for me as well. I LOVE those orange/blue/yellow/brown color combos! Beautiful. Keep on stitching.

  4. I love your leaves and embroidery stitches. I used to see your blog years ago; glad I found you again. I'm on Blogger too and share your frustration about some of its features. So don't worry about trying to respond! I hope to find a way to follow you with notices in my email. Love your work!
