Distractions

In a couple of weeks I will be hosting our local SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Association) group and we will have a part of SAQA's traveling trunk show here. This means that Studio B needs to be cleaned and organized somewhat so that we have a spot for  the trunk show. We are also going to be doing some indigo and eating lunch. I've been gradually organizing and putting things away and have made some progress but I keep finding things to play with. Last weekend I was putting some paints
on the shelf where they belonged and in the box with the paints was a pile of 4 inch squares of white fabric fused to flannel. Now this box has been sitting here waiting for me to put the contents away since the end of 2016, they were the leftovers from the daily stitching of gelli prints.
The paints got put away and as I picked up the fabrics I had this immediate urge to dip them in indigo, so the organizing stopped and the play began.

This is how they looked while they were still wet after rinsing.

After ironing I played with a few setting options, but haven't made a decision yet.

Does anyone have a favorite layout or suggestion?

I thought I had fixed my problem with not getting comments sent to my email, but it only worked one week, ugh!

I'll be linking up with "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching"

  1. I like the second one, with the mountain ranges!
Was that fabric white-on-white -- hence the white swirls?

this will be a lovely project when you get a whole lot of handstitching on top!! have fun at your SAQA meeting.

    1. Thanks Kathy, yes, it is white on white fabric. I'm leaning toward the second one also.

  2. I like the second or the third. Whatever you do with them will be great.
I'm having a SAQA small group at my house in October, but plenty of time to plan for that.

  5. I like the 3rd option --they look like little mountains in the distance tome--in the fog...hugs, Julierose

  8. Your stitching is amazing, and I love the leaf. I have the same problem with not getting my comments in my email. Wish I knew how to fix it.

    1. Thanks Jennie, I went into settings deleted my email address and then put it back in and it works for a few days and then I have to do it all over again.
