Weekly and Daily stitching update

My hubby had hip replacement surgery earlier this week and is still in the hospital so I haven't gotten much done creatively. Luckily the hospital is only four blocks from home so I go back and for quite a bit. He is doing fairly well and is scheduled to be home tomorrow morning, that's when I'll get real busy. I've kept up with my weekly and daily stitching but that's about it.

2018 Weekly Leaf #29

2018 Daily Stitching #2 days 50-56

I did lots of the background while sitting at the hospital, the top third is done.

That's it for this week and I'm not going to promise much more for next week. I'm taking a bit of a break this afternoon and having lunch with friends, then back to the hospital.

I'll be linking up to "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching".

  2. If you must go to the hospital, daily stitching is a nice portable project to bring along. The pattern of Xs and llls reminds me of Xs and Os. I can imagine you sending healing thoughts to your husband as you stitch. The pattern soothing and strengthening you both.

  3. hope husband recovers quickly, every few days should bring enormous changes in his mobility and ability to do things for himself which is the best aid to recovery, devising ways to do things with those darned sticks.

  4. Wishing your husband all the best. At least in the hospital you can sit and stitch but once he is home that will be different. I know you are very disciplined about daily stitching but give yourself a pass while he recovers. Although you may need to stitch to relax but either way don’t pressure yourself. Remember to take good care of others we must take care of ourselves.

  7. Leaf #29 is gorgeous. I love how that yellow leaf pops on the blue background. I hope hubby has a speedy recovery though I know that you will probably be running with physical therapy. Take care of you. I will be thinking of both of you.
