Crab Apple tree, Tulips and some stitching

I'm feeling better, the weather has been incredibly beautiful, so I've been out enjoying it. My Prairie Fire Crab Apple tree is in full bloom and is full of buzzing bees.

Then there are my tulips, oh my, I can't resist taking closeups.

The Weekly Leaf

I took advantage of the wonderful sunshine and did a blueprint (cyanotype). I used pretreated fabric from Blueprints on Fabric. This may look familiar to some, I used the same dried mimosa leaf that was used in last years SAQA donation. Here it is out in the sun

Before rinsing.

After rinsing.

  2. Love the cynotype.
The bugs going around my area have been long and nasty.

  3. So many lovely things. I am waiting desperately for the tulips to bud and bloom here in Michigan. Your stitching is really delightful, I wish I could pet it.

  4. You are a little ahead of us in blooms. We just have daffies and some early blooming trees.
Your beautiful cyanotype makes me want to do some. It's been years since I've done any.

  7. It is yellow because the fabric the chemicals are on is yellow.
