The quilting has started

I have finally started quilting the queen size commissioned quilt, and it's going pretty slowly - I keep taking breaks. here is week 7's square February's "notion square" I took pictures earlier in the week of my daily stitching, but never posted them. #336 - #345 #43 - #52 Blogger has changed something and I can't figure out how to get the words and pictures to go together. Seems like every time I get comfortable posting it changes. This post is now linked to "Off the Wall Friday"

  1. Linda -- the best way to get pictures and text to go together properly is to put all the text in first. Then position your cursor where you want the photo to go, and upload it. If it ends up in the wrong place, it's easier to remove the photo, move the cursor and re-enter the photo than to try to move the photo. The photos will stay uploaded and ready throughout your session, so you won't have to wait through the transmission time again.

  3. Your black and white embroidery is just stunning- the shading you achieve with stitching is just outstanding. I'm especially in love with the one on the top left that looks like epithelial cells lining a proximal tubule.

    1. Thanks Shannon, you've made my simple work sound very technical!

  4. Your hand stitching is really impressive. Can't imagine how many of these you have. You might want to make the switch to the newest version of Blogger.

  6. Love the hand stitched pieces...and I am happy you have the discipline to do it...can you tell who doesn't? I too am working on a queen quilt which is sort of commissioned...by my niece. I am out of the habit of handling such big pieces...I hope yours goes well!

    1. I'm out of the habit also, that's one of the reasons I'm taking so many breaks. Good luck with yours.
