This is from a locust that is growing where it's not supposed to, the background is 24" h x 15" w.
This one is from my grape vine, about 16" x16".
I finished the stitching on the two indigo silk pieces, they just need some hanging sleeves and labels, I have no idea what to name them.
Thanks to everyone that commented on their favorite layout for the four inch squares, it was pretty evenly divided between the 2nd and 3rd layout. I've sewn the pieces together in rows, but I haven't sewn the rows together yet so I still have both options available. I'm leaning toward this way.
This is how my design wall looks right now, I've got plenty to work on.

More background and french knots.
I'll be linking up with "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching"
The one with the stitching between the orange pieces brings to mind a friend's copper lotus rain chain.
ReplyDeleteYou're right it does look like a rain chain, I'd never noticed that.
DeleteAs always, your leaves are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWhat do you plan to do with all of the leaves? They really spring to life with your stitching.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to mount each one on mat board so that they will be ready to frame and then hopefully sell them. That's the plan, I have some of the mat board but haven't attached any to it yet.
DeleteWOW!! You got so much stitching done!! Everything looks great, I especially like the french knots stitchery.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
