The top third will be quilted with yellow thread. You can see the bit of hand stitching that I've done on this piece. I've used a wonderful hand dyed #3 thread that I won from Laura Wasilowski. Another find in my stash.
My plan is to have all three done by this time next week.
The Weekly Leaf
I bought a new leaf stencil recently, so of course I had to use it.
Week #37
Now that new stencil has been added to my increasingly large leaf stencil collection, many of which I've used only once. I may need some intervention here if I keep collecting.
Daily Stitching updates
Gelli prints #250-256
Shades of Orange #177-183
Later in the week I'll be linking up to "Off the Wall Friday" and "Slow Sunday Stitching"
I love using variegated threads and your choices are perfect. As for having too many leaf stencils remember what Mae West said, "Too much of a good thing can be wonderful".
ReplyDeleteThe gelli prints with stitch is so inspiring. I really want to try this!
ReplyDeleteA fern stencil - I want one! Your fern came out great and it looks like it was fairly fast and easy. Love me some ferns!
ReplyDeleteOh the fern is absolutely wonderful! Looks like a fun project
ReplyDeleteLOL... love that line "may need some intervention if I keep collecting"! I can relate!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching.... enjoy!
Your leaves are delightfully detailed. So wonderful. PS I think we all need a certain amount of intervention with this hobby.
