I've been doing a lot of hand stitching lately, not something I've been known to do much of. For the past twenty or so years I've done everything buy machine, as fast as I could. Lately though I've been doing a lot of large running stitches with #5 pearl cotton(that's the heavy stuff that requires a big needle) and sewing on lots of buttons. I'm enjoying it also, so maybe I'm slowing down and taking life at a more leisurely pace. Both of the projects above are part of my final assignment pieces for the Art cloth mastery class I'm taking.
