New Quilt

I've been trying to use fabrics that have been in my stash for way to long and just finished a quilt for hubby that used quite a few of those fabrics. My black and white stash is now only small pieces, and I used most of the last bundle of rainbow colored fabrics that I dyed probably nine years ago just before I retired from vending. I told him it was his chemo quilt and it was to keep him warm if he got chilly during his infusions, he did take it with today to show the entire medical staff but didn't fell the need to use it.

  1. Bright colors, black & white, and circles.....a sure fire winner. I'm sure it will be a comfort to hubby. And your leaves with all those French knots....perfect!

A quilt can be helpful for chills and/or comfort during chemo.

  5. Your stitching is just beautiful! I love how the leaves came out. So nice hubby was happy to show off his beautiful quilt. I gifted one to a friend for her treatments and she let me know it was the first thing packed for her hospital stays for surgery.

  6. Oh my goodness. I love the variety of stitches that you are using on those circles and the running stitch leaves are so pretty. Who would have thought that the simple running stitch could produce such beautiful leaves. I like the idea of that Chemo Quilt. So glad that your husband didn't need it, but wanted to show it off.
