Where does the time go?
I realized this afternoon that it's been over a week since I've posted anything, it sure doesn't seem that long. I did make several trips into Boise or the surrounding area in the past week, that's three hours of driving time for each round trip, and it does eat into the time for anything else.
I made skirts for two of my granddaughters and got them mailed yesterday.
Made some fabric postcards for a birthday, and some thank you cards.
There are several forest fires in the area and we have very smoky air. At 10 a.m. this morning the sun finally peaked through the smoke.
We are a good two hour drive from the closest fires, one to the North and another to the east of us. The air quality in the fire areas must really be horrendous. Some of the fires farther away have been burning for many weeks.

Number 190 finished off the tenth row, so I got them sewn on.

SAQA auction and more work done
This week is the start of SAQA's auction, you can view this weeks works here and here. There are some wonderful art quilts available, my favorite has already gone to a new home. I was hoping it would last till the end of the week when the price was more in line with my budget. The bidding started at $750 yesterday and goes down every day of the week.
I got the finishing touches(except for a sleeve and label) on a whole cloth quilt that I printed earlier this summer. It's very orange and very hard to photograph. The detail shots show the turquoise hand stitching that was added, the color in the pictures is off.
I've also reached the half way point in my daily stitching project, which also means I'm half way to my next birthday. Here are #177 - 182.
The whole group.

Getting things done
I've gotten back into a productive mode. I started by making freezer jam, a batch of blackberry and one of blackberry/peach. They are both quite yummy. Then I turned an overgrown zucchini into two loaves of chocolate zucchini bread. Finished up a special order of dyed fabrics and got them in the mail. Tie dyed some turquoise and purple fabric for a seven year granddaughters skirt (her color request). Quilted the top that I had pieced during the girls week vacation and photographed some quilts that have been done for a while. Below is "Cityscape", it's been purchased and is ready to go to it's new home. It's something that I worked on off and on for quite a long time. My friend Barb fell in live with it, kept checking on my progress and told me she had to have it. I think it's now ready to go home with her.
