Stitched circle

I just realized it's been a week since I've posted. I have been getting things done, but I guess I don't have anything to say about them. I know I tend to be an introvert, so I'll just keep trying to get what's in my head out onto the blog.

The stitched circle was finished this morning, I'm happy with it and have been thinking of doing a companion piece with white stitching on black. I think I will stretch it over stretcher bars to hang it. The circle is 20" in diameter and the whole piece is about 30" x 36".

A beaded edge

This is the finished beaded edge of a piece of organza. It's a part of a two piece art cloth. The organza was layered on top of a piece of cotton and they were both dye printed at the same time. A larger view of the piece is my header. I will sew the top edge of the two pieces together, they are approximately two yards long. Then they will hang over a plexiglass tube so that the organza floats about an inch in front of the cotton. It's one of my final pieces for my art cloth mastery class.

Compulsive Beading

This is a small beaded piece I just finished. I started with a piece of painted and distressed lutrador, fused it to black felt, then compulsively beaded it, mounted it on a painted 9 x 12 canvas and added a few more beads. Now when I look at it I see more places that I'd like beads. I rarely do beaded projects, but when I do I have trouble stopping, I keep wanting to add more beads.
