Thank you to all who wished me good sales at the Art and Craft show, I've got 2 more weeks to go . The dates of the show are November 16 and 17.
This week I gathered up all the botanical prints that had been done on paper and made cards out of them. Here is a sampling.
I'm very pleased with how they came out and I finally found a use for all the prints. I originally did on paper because that's what I had instructions for, but since I normally play with fabric I experimented and found out what works on fabric. I even had the card stock and envelopes, so another project done using what's on hand.

ReplyDeleteHow lovely it is to visit your beautiful place and see all your clever imaginings. Your textiles are gorgeous as always AND so are your cards!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteLove your botanical prints...I've been doing lots also before the trees are bare...and your stitching...always amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm trying to find some time to do more, I've been picking up what's left of our leaves.
DeleteI love your botanical prints!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMaking them into cards is a brilliant idea. The recipients will have a wonderful little piece of art to frame.
ReplyDeleteThe background quilting that you do on your weekly leaf is inspiring. I never would have thought to do the buttonhole stitch as a filler, but it sure works beautifully.
Thank you, I also plan on having some of my weekly prints mounted and ready to sell.
DeleteThe botanicals are perfect, very calming.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWhat a novel use of the blanket stitch (or is it buttonhole stitch) - it looks a bit like brickwork when done in rows. Also love those botanical print cards. I bet they sell well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I find that that stitch is pretty versatile.
DeleteWhat lovely cards! They should be very popular at your sale. And beautiful, inspiring stitching as usual. But this time I noticed how you draw the patterns before you start to stitch. Are you using paint to create areas of color? Markers?
ReplyDeleteHi Madalene, The fabric I'm using for the daily stitching has random patterns on it, I used it to get rid of excess paint on stamps and gelli plates. I drew in the grid for the background. I use the shapes that are there as a suggestion of what to do, sometimes I follow them and other times my stitching just goes off by itself.
DeleteYour botanical prints are just lovely. Super lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI would buy your cards for sure! Your stitching continues to inspire
ReplyDeleteThank you.
