Vintage blocks all together

The vintage blocks that I thought would be a long term project are ready to quilt, I've finished the appliqué and have them pieced together. Once I got started working on them I just couldn't stop.

It's not a great picture because it's 75" square and I can't get a picture in the studio without a corner of the table.

Week three of the weekly leaf is done. For this one I used a hand carved stamp and two of the three screens I made from different sizes of the outline of the stamped image.

I've had these around for several years and haven't used them very much.
Week #3

Line Dance #15 - #20

Indigo and Rust #308 - #313

  2. I'm running out of awesomes for you girl! I am happy to see all your hand stitching each week. I should do more decorative hand work. I like to hand piece but have gotten away from the stitch as line.

    1. Thanks LeeAnna. I never hand piece, so you are just taking your hand work in a different direction.

  3. The completed composition of the vintage quilt has wonderful movement. I would not have guessed this looking at the shapes in the beginning. The soft pink is the perfect background. Can't wait to see it quilted.

    1. I'm not much of a pink girl, but I do love it in this quilt. Maybe it will be quilted when we get together.

  4. I see that your leaf theme has run into your indigo and rust. Nice.

  5. Hi, Linda. I'm knocked over by your vintage quilt. The dusty pink/beige background is perfect. I would have avoided the light pinks/salmons/beiges because I really do not like them as colors. Your quilt also makes me think of what is "popular" today, color trends, and how your color combination is so un-trendy...and therefore so much more interesting!
