Leftovers

When I went through my fabric piles a few weeks ago one of the things I found was a bag full of leftover fabrics from a quilt that I made and donated three years ago. You can see it here.
The bag held lots of odd size pieces and 30 half circles in muslin and light colored tone on tone prints. The original quilt had pieced half circles, this one will have raw edge appliquéd half circles. So far I have rows of blocks sewn together and have been playing with different arrangements. This is what it looks like now.

It will stay this way for at least a couple of weeks because I'm writing and posting this early in the morning before we do the seven and a half hour drive to Corvallis, OR to pick up my work from the show. Then drive back home on Tuesday to get ready to leave for a family wedding in Phoenix, an even longer drive.

The Weekly Leaf

This week I used a leaf that came from my daughter's garden over a year ago. I applied paint to the back of the leaf and used it to do the printing.
